New to Eternal Gathering
For those interested in finding out more about how to become members at Eternal, we would suggest first attending one of our "New to Eternal Gatherings", held throughout the year on a Saturday at a member's home. This dinner is informal and a great place to ask questions about the church. We also encourage potential members to get involved in a weekly Small Group, as this is the best way to meet people and become immersed in the Eternal community.
Membership Class
For those who have attended a "New to Eternal Gathering " or are interested in pursuing membership, we offer Membership classes on a periodic basis. The classes include a more thorough introduction to our structure and theology. After the Membership classes, those who feel led to join the church will meet individually (or as a family/couple) with one of the elders (usually over a meal) where they will have the chance to discuss the content presented in the class.
The Membership Class, led by our pastors, educates new members on the structure, design and beliefs of Eternal Church and describes in detail what it means to become a member. It begins with a half-day Saturday session (breakfast and lunch provided) held at the church office. Attendees will be asked to fill out a Membership Profile packet for their family in preparation for the class. The class then meets for the next 8 weeks on Sunday mornings during the early service (9 AM) at the YMCA. During the 8 week period we cover a variety of topics related to what it means to a part of the Body of Christ at Eternal (e.g., our theological beliefs, participating in discipleship, caring for each other’s needs, discerning your spiritual gifts, dealing with conflict, etc.). If you would like to sign up for our next session or if you have any questions, please email Andy Crissinger: andy@eternalchurch.net
